Michael Lee Ahlert Sr., 66 of Washington, Indiana passed away October 7, 2018 at Daviess Community Hospital. Born July 14, 1952 in Washington, he was the son of the late William Joseph Ahlert and Bonnie Avenell (Atha) Ahlert.

Michael attended Washington High School, and was a veteran of the United States Army and Marine Corps. He worked in the healthcare food service industry.

He is survived by a daughter, Laura Ann Jones-Madden and wife Kimberly; two sons, Michael Lee Ahlert Jr. and wife Lachelle and Robert William Ahlert and partner Rickey; grandchildren, Johnathan Tyler Alhert, Matthew Tyler Jones, Timothy Tyler Jones, Sykla Michelle Ahlert and Jaden Don Arvin; a great-grandchild, Landon Carson Walls; a sister, Wanda Jean Brown; three brothers, Robert, Fred and William Ahlertl and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Donald Ahlert.
