James Kaarre

JAMES KAARRE
SHOREVIEW, Minn. - James “Jim” E. Kaarre, 45, died on Oct. 23, in Shoreview, Minn. He had been ill for 18 months.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, S.D.
He was born on Dec. 17, 1953, to Norman and Bertha “Bea” Kaarre. They survive in Sioux Falls, S.D. He married Christine Pasek from Sioux Falls, S.D. She survives.
Kaarre was a 1972 Washington High School graduate, having lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track while in high school. He graduated from Indiana University in 1976 with a bachelor’s of science in business. Later, he received his Masters in business administration from the University of South Dakota. He was a former American Express Financial Advisors employee and currently was employed with Fortis Financial Services.
Also surviving are: a son, Nicholas and a daughter, Shannon, both at home; a sister, Kathy Volden, Colton, S.D. and a brother, Don Kaarre, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Kaarre Memorial Fund to benefit athletics in Washington Community Schools, Inc. Checks should be made payable to the Washington Community School Foundation Corporation (W.C.S.F.C) and sent to 301 East South St., Washington, IN, 47501.
